Today is truly momentous - my 1st ever aerosol grafitti!
"3 Hari, 2 Malam" an event organized by the good people of Children of Art at the roof Universiti Bangsar Utama (the Malaysiakini Building).
Initially, I was there with Rooty as innocent bystanders. then Rooty & me went on to help Orkibal & Shieko respectively with their pieces. once I got hold of the can & began to spray, a kind of thrill surged from my fingertip, up my arm & straight into my mind! as Madonna would put it: "like a virgin, touched for the very 1st time.."!
before you know it, I forked out some cash for a carton of spray cans to work on my own piece!
Frankly, my piece was rather crappy, but ok lah for a first try (..as the others most sweetly & kindly assured me & Rooty  )
Really, I feel very lucky to have participated in this event. My most heartfelt & sincerest props goes out to:
Children of Art & UBU - for the opportunity & space
ARTVSTS: Orkibal - aerosol pusher & inspiration
SWS: Shieko, VDS & Sona - Shieko for letting me help and allowing me my 1st ever spray, VDS & Sona for making me wanna do more & be better!!
DMP: Moed & Perez - for the honor of being in the presence of greatness.
DLL: Rooty & Tha-B - Rooty for not letting me be the only rookie thus making a complete idiot out of my self; kita idiot bersama! (Rooty, kita x de nama crew lagi la, apa kata kita pakai "dll: dan lain lain", ok x?  )

Tragic Comedy part IV: Jakarta

sampai je kat Jakarta dari puncak, we checked into the hotel & went for dinner. oh, before that ada shopping CD kat Sarinah. masa dinner dah rasa mcm nk demam. so instead of clubbing wif the others, i opted to rest at the hotel.
so here's the tragic part: the next morning tau2 kene diare, siallah!  so the only day I was in Jakarta was spent at the hotel. watched tv sampai muntah (dpt tengok Akademi Fantasia Indosiar, 3 konser dangdut, movie Ultraman baru in B.Indonesia and tons of videoclips..)
so, this is the only picture i took. tu pun dari tingkap hotel. besoknya dah nak balik. hangin la jugak  ..tp apa boleh buat. 0)
(fuh... lama gila nak update. padahal gamba satu je)

from Bandoeng, we head for Jakarta via Puncak. along the way, we got to see lots of kampungs & small towns. most of them very modest and un-touristy yet seemed full of life & charm.
Had lunch in Puncak. then went to the safari - which was kinda fun, really!

A Tragic Comedy, Part 1:Bandoeng
|

Went to Indonesia the other day. pretty excited actually. i mean, who wouldn't be? so much u can do, so many place to bomb. or so i thought. the 1st few pix is a good way to dewsxribe the trip: a blur.
Arrived at Bandara Soekarno Hatta, Jakarta at about 9pm, then the 7 of us hopped onto 2 separate MPV's bound for Bandoeng. The trip takes about 2-3 hours. plus the 2 hour flight from KL, that's 5 hours without food. needless to say, we were starving once in Bandoeng.
It was late, & the only eateries available near the hotel were the small warungs dotting the roadside of Jln Juanda. most of the stuff on the menu were unheard of before. in the act of sheer boldness & starvation, we ordered 'usus goreng' (fried chicken intestines), 'brutu goreng' (fried chicken butts - just because it sounds so cool..!), some fried chicken (with the head on..baru terpikir, halal ke?  ), BaTaGor (Bakso + Tahu Goreng) & 'pisang keju'. the last dish is the Sith of the culinary arts! banana grilled till caramelized, topped with sweetened creamer & cheese! if u're on a diet, just fuck your program & have a go at this - at least u'll die happy.
done eating, it's time for bed, as there's lots to be done tomorrow..
